Ella Alsop-Davis
Rider
Jo’s daughter Ella is often found helping around the yard and riding out the racehorses. She also competes her own horses, Bobby and Christy, in eventing and showjumping. Ella has grown into a very talented rider and is a real asset to the yard.
Holly Ayres
Jo’s right-hand woman
Holly has been with Jo for several years. She started part-time and has worked her way up to run the yard: organising the staff, driving the lorry when Jo can’t and holding everything together. Jo would be lost without her.
Bluebell “Blu” Walker
Rider
Blu joined Jo a couple of years ago from another racing yard. Her riding and confidence have come on enormously since, she loves the horses, and she’s a genuine pleasure to have around. This season she’ll be point-to-pointing Clemencehill.
Fleur Morin
Rider
Fleur joined a couple of months ago and has fitted into the team fantastically. She has worked for a couple of other trainers, rides beautifully and is a wonderful addition to the yard.
Paul Johnson
Yard team
Paul had never worked with horses before he came to Jo’s, but he has fitted in as if he’d always been there. A hard worker who is always happy and always singing, he’s a real pleasure to have around.
Jason Taylor
Yard team
Jason has been with Jo for several years and, like Paul, had never worked with horses before joining the yard. He has become one of the most reliable, conscientious people any yard could have, and an invaluable member of the team.
