The information on this website is for general information only. It’s based on professional experience, but nothing on the website should be taken as veterinary, medical, legal or financial advice.

We try to keep everything accurate and up to date, but we can’t guarantee that all information is complete or current. Horses’ plans, availability and prices can change.

Links to other websites, such as Racing Post and Timeform, are provided for convenience. We aren’t responsible for their content.

Racehorse ownership

Syndicate shares, lease shares, Fun Shares and full ownership are arranged directly with Jo, and the details are agreed with you before you join. Prices on this website are a guide and are confirmed when you enquire.

Online consultations

These terms apply when you book a consultation with Jo Davis Racing Consultancy.

1. About the service

Jo Davis Racing Consultancy provides online consultations offering practical advice, guidance and education on horse training, behaviour, management, rider development and related equestrian matters. Consultations are based on professional knowledge and experience, and are intended to help owners and riders make informed decisions about their horses.

2. Nature of the advice

Advice is based on the information you provide, including discussions, photographs and videos. Recommendations are educational and aren’t veterinary, medical, physiotherapy, chiropractic, dental, saddle-fitting or legal advice. Where appropriate, you may be advised to get help from a qualified vet or another suitably qualified professional.

3. Your responsibility

The welfare of the horse remains the responsibility of its owner or the person in charge of it at all times. You decide whether and how to use any suggestions made during a consultation. Every horse, rider and situation is different, so specific results can’t be guaranteed.

4. Safety

Riding and handling horses carry risks. Always put safety first, and never try an exercise or training method that you believe is unsafe or beyond your own or your horse’s ability. If you have any doubt about a horse’s health or soundness, get veterinary advice before training.

5. Bookings and payment

You can request a consultation through this website. Jo will confirm the time by email and send a secure payment link. Full payment is needed to confirm your booking unless agreed otherwise, and your appointment is confirmed once payment has been received.

6. Cancellations

Appointments cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice can be moved or refunded. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice aren’t refundable unless there are exceptional circumstances. If Jo needs to cancel or move an appointment, you’ll be offered another time or a full refund.

7. Videos and photos you send

By sending videos or photos, you confirm that you own them or have permission to share them. They’re used only for your consultation unless you give separate written permission, and they won’t be shared publicly without your clear consent.

8. Confidentiality

Everything you share during a consultation is treated as confidential. Your details, photos and videos won’t be shared with anyone else without your permission, unless the law requires it or it’s necessary to protect the welfare or safety of a person or animal.

9. Limitation of liability

Every effort is made to give accurate, practical and professional guidance. However, Jo Davis Racing Consultancy accepts no liability for injury, illness, loss, damage or expense arising directly or indirectly from advice given, or from actions taken after a consultation. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can’t legally be excluded under English law.

10. Intellectual property

Written summaries, notes, training plans and other material supplied to you remain the intellectual property of Jo Davis Racing Consultancy. They’re for your personal use only, and mustn’t be copied, reproduced or shared without written permission.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

By booking a consultation, you confirm that you’ve read and agree to these terms, and understand that consultations give professional guidance and education rather than veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
