How do online consultations work?
Simply book a consultation through the website, upload any videos or photographs you'd like me to review, and we'll meet online at your scheduled time.
I'll have reviewed everything before we speak, allowing us to focus on practical solutions during your consultation.
Do I need to upload a video?
Not always, but videos are extremely helpful and allow me to provide more detailed and accurate feedback.
If you're unable to upload a video, we can still discuss your situation during the consultation.
How long are consultations?
Standard consultations last approximately 60 minutes unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
What platform do you use for consultations?
Consultations are held online using a secure video conferencing platform. Full joining instructions will be sent after booking.
Can you guarantee results?
No.
Every horse and rider combination is unique. My role is to provide honest, practical guidance based on my experience and the information you provide. Progress depends on many factors, including consistency, training, management and the individual horse.
Are you a vet or veterinary behaviourist?
No.
I provide professional equestrian coaching and consultancy based on many years of practical experience.
Where I believe veterinary, physiotherapy, dentistry, saddle fitting or other specialist input is needed, I'll always recommend that you seek advice from the appropriate qualified professional.
Can you help if I'm looking to buy a horse?
Yes.
I can discuss suitability, training, temperament, management and any questions you may have before purchasing a horse. However, this does not replace a pre-purchase veterinary examination.
Can children have consultations?
Yes.
Riders under the age of 18 are very welcome, but a parent or legal guardian must make the booking and be present during the consultation.
Can I book a follow-up consultation?
Absolutely.
Many clients find that a follow-up consultation after they've had time to work on the recommendations is extremely beneficial.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments cancelled more than 48 hours before the consultation may be rearranged or refunded.
Appointments cancelled within 48 hours are generally non-refundable unless exceptional circumstances apply.
Will our consultation be confidential?
Yes.
Everything discussed during your consultation is treated confidentially unless disclosure is required by law or is necessary to protect the welfare or safety of a person or animal.
What happens after my consultation?
Following your consultation, you'll receive a written summary of the key points discussed, practical recommendations and an action plan to help you move forward with confidence.
How do I book?
Simply click the Book a Consultation button anywhere on the website, choose a convenient appointment time and complete the booking form.

Can you visit my yard in person?
At present, consultations are primarily carried out online, allowing me to work with clients throughout the UK and internationally. From time to time I may offer in-person visits, clinics or demonstrations, which will be announced on my website and social media.
