How it works
A fun way for followers of Jo Davis Racing to get closer to the stable and its horses.
Picking your horses
Use your skill, judgement and knowledge of racing to pick exactly three horses from the Three to Follow list. You also pick a first and second reserve, in case one of your horses stops racing for the season. Jo’s views on each horse will help you choose.
Points
Each time one of your horses runs, it scores points for where it finishes:

| 7th or lower | 0 |
Each horse’s best four runs count towards its total. If a horse runs fewer than four times, each missing run scores 2 points. For example, a horse that runs three times and finishes 3rd, 3rd and 4th scores 5 + 5 + 4, plus 2 for the missing fourth run: 16 points.
Winning
The winner is the entrant whose three horses score the most points in total. If there’s a tie, the entrant whose horses had the highest combined starting prices wins. If it’s still a tie, a horse-racing knowledge question set by the organiser decides the result.
Prizes
- The three highest-scoring entrants who are already syndicate owners win cash prizes: £75 for first, £50 for second and £25 for third.
- The three highest-scoring entrants who aren’t syndicate owners each win a year’s free membership of a Jo Davis Racing syndicate.
All profits go to Jo’s track renovation fund.
Entering
Use the online entry form to choose your horses and reserves, accept the terms and conditions, then pay the £10 entry fee by card. Your entry is only confirmed once the payment has gone through. You can enter as many times as you like.
