Jo Davis Racing is delighted to be able to offer shares in the latest syndicate within the yard for fans of racing who are looking for an inexpensive way to enter racehorse ownership.
​
We are offering shares in Romeo Foxtrot (‘Charlie’), a 3 year old gelding Jo picked up in the Ascot sales. He is by Dragon Dancer (2nd in the Derby and with plenty of winning offspring) out of a mare who was successful in her own right and is the dam of four winners.

Jo loved the way Charlie walked at the sales, and over the summer he has really thrived. We are now ready to begin preparing Charlie for a race and expect to have him ready for a bumper in late November.

We want to make things as cheap as possible for syndicate members, as we know these are not easy times for everyone. So we are looking to lease Charlie to the syndicate. Members won’t have to buy a share to own him, but he will run in the syndicate colours and all prize money will go to syndicate members. The syndicate starting on 1 October 2023, but we still have a few shares to anyone keen to join.
Each share costs £95 a month (plus VAT, which we will reclaim). This will cover all training costs, race entries and travel to the races.You can have just one share, or more if you would like to.
Syndicate members get all the benefits of owning a horse without the expense of buying one.

Free entry to the races and the owners and trainers’ facilities,ï‚· access to the parade ring before racing and a chance to meet the jockey and visit the winner’s enclosure, if we have luck with Charlie.

Open access (and a friendly welcome), at Jo’s yard where members can see Charlie working and get to understand what is needed to prepare a horse for a career in racing.

A dedicated WhatsApp group, giving regular updates on Charlie's progress, along with photos and videos and the opportunity for members to ask any questions they like about the horse, or about racing in general.

A regular social event, such as a barbecue, quiz night etc to meet other syndicate members, 5% of Charlie's winnings.

All we ask is a one year commitment. At the end of the year, with your agreement, we will roll it over to Year Two.
